Dr. Schechtman receives Best of Yorktown Award!

Dr. Schechtman was awarded a “Best of Yorktown Award” under the category of Doctor/Dentist/Therapist!  Community members voted in 10 different categories.  The Best of Yorktown Awards are sponsored by the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce.  Chamber of Commerce president Joseph Visconti said the goal, was to encourage support and awareness for the local business and non-profit community.   Congratulations, Dr. Schechtman!

Dr. Schechtman shared the benefits of Invisalign over conventional braces: 

“You can eat anything you want, brushing a flossing is easier, there is less discomfort, and there are no emergencies with loose braces or poking wires.”   “Additionally, the social benefits of orthodontic treatment (improved self esteem and appearance) are realized during treatment as there is nothing on your teeth to detract from your smile.”

Dr. Schechtman Lectures to Local Dentists and Hygienists

On Tues evening, May 17, 2011 Dr. Richard Schechtman hosted a seminar on the latest advancements with Invisalign Orthodontic Treatment.  Invisalign is a removable orthodontic appliance that is almost invisible and can correct most orthodontic problems in lieu of wearing braces.

Community Fair at Mildred E. Strang Middle School in Yorktown

Dr. Schechtman participated at the Yorktown Community Fair on Saturday, May 14.  " It was a great day meeting old friends and making new ones. I had fun giving out prizes to the many kids who visited our table to spin our prizewheel."

 Youths Hold Fundraisers to Support Yorktown Causes

The Yorktown Leos Club raised a total of $1,050 from the sales of hot dogs during their "Dogs for D.A.R.E." fundraiser on Saturday.
